What is waist training?

Waist training is a process of waist reduction using a latex waist trainer, cincher or corset. When worn daily, a waist trainer will gradually reshape your waist into an hourglass figure by compressing and repositioning body fat. Also known as waist cinching, this practice came to prominence during Victorian times and has remained relevant because it's proven results. They need to be worn 8-10 hours a day, and be very tight. The compression also reduces hunger since they are tight, and they help improve posture and back pain as well.

After 30 days you will notice a significant difference in your mid section. Our customers have dropped  2-3 dress sizes in this timeframe.

What is the difference between Extreme Waist Trainer and the Gym/Sport Waist Trainers?

The Extreme Waist Trainer in black or beige is our most aggressive. It has a latex exterior with a cotton lining. It is the tightest and it is longer so it covers more. They are best for every day activities, work, etc. The workout cinchers are made with more lycra so they are a bit more stretchy and they are shorter to allow more flexibility while working out. They are also better for shorter torsos.

The most reliable method to choosing the correct size waist trainer is to measure your waist right above your navel and refer to the size chart to find the corresponding size. You can also go by height/and weight, but keep in mind that this is a general method only since we all hold our weight differently. We recommend measuring.

How do I choose the correct size waist trainer?

If you are in doubt, or between sizes, choose one size up. Our waist trainers are meant to fit very tight, and may need help getting it on the first time until it breaks in a bit. If you need help choosing a size, please email us at support

How do I care for my waist trainer?

Hand wash your garment and air dry. Avoid washing machines and tumble dryers as this will void the warranty.

Can I wear the waist trainer overnight?

We would not recommend wearing the waist trainer overnight as it is more effective when you are standing or sitting up rather than lying down.

I have back/spinal problems. Can I still wear a waist trainer?

We have had many customers who use our waist trainers to aid with their back problems, scoliosis, and spinal issues so they don’t have to wear bulky medical braces. However, if you have any concerns, please consult your doctor beforehand.

I just had a baby! When can I start using a waist trainer?

We recommend waiting 2-3 weeks after giving birth before you start waist training. If you have had a caesarian you will need to wait until you are fully healed as the waist trainer could be sitting on the incision. Please refer to our Guide to Post-Pregnancy Waist Training for more information.

Will there be any damage to my body internally?

Our waist trainers are not strong enough to cause any internal damage to your body. They are not corsets which are made of stronger material that cause organs and the floating ribs to be pushed in and up. They are a form of shape wear, like spanx.

How should the waist trainer feel while wearing it?

It should feel “fitted” with slight compression. It should not make you feel uncomfortable, if you are then please stop wearing the waist trainer (you might have ordered a size to small if this is the case).
